1. Our Commitment
Only Whales respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). We will promptly remove material that is properly notified as infringing and will terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
2. Filing a DMCA Notice
If you believe content on Only Whales infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent containing all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- The URL or other location of the allegedly infringing material on Only Whales, sufficient for us to locate it.
- Your contact information (name, address, phone, email).
- A statement made in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

4. Non-Consensual Imagery & Right-of-Publicity Takedowns
If you appear in (or are identifiable in) content posted without your consent — including non-consensual intimate imagery or unauthorised use of your name, likeness, or voice — email takedown@onlywhalesapp.com with a description of the content, its URL, and proof of identity. We action verified requests within 24 hours.
5. Counter-Notice
If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the DMCA agent above, containing the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3).
6. Repeat Infringers
Accounts that are the subject of repeated valid infringement notices will be terminated in accordance with our Terms of Service.
7. False Claims
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages.
